“Extraordinary Artists International: A Roadmap to The O-1 Visa” is a Zine initiated and edited by artist Naoco Wowsugi. I contributed a catalog essay “O-1 Visa: A Historical Perspective” delineating the history of immigration policies that led to the emergence of the O-1 visa category, which reveals the past century of US government’s immigration priorities that determined who is and isn’t worthy of residence and citizenship.
